KEOKUK, IOWA -- UPDATED: December 14 at 5:09 p.m.

Roquette America released a new statement concerning the December 13 and 14 negotiation sessions with BCTGM Local 48G.

Two additional days of negotiation sessions between Roquette America and BCTGM Local 48G have just been completed, and both parties traded new proposals.

Roquette has told the media that they are continuing to try to move the negotiations along agreeing to some of the union’s concepts contained in their latest proposal submitted on December 13.

In their statement Roquette stated, "The Company is disappointed that the union’s proposal made very little movement and did not substantially addressed Roquette’s six core negotiation goals.  On December 14, Roquette provided each member of the union’s negotiating team a full printed copy of the Company’s most recent comprehensive contract proposal. Once again the Company encouraged the union leadership to submit the proposal to the members of Local 48G for a ratification vote so we can get our employees back to work."

Keokuk's labor lockout is getting global attention.

International labor unions are calling for the United Nations to enforce its global compact outlining workers' rights.

The President of AFL CIO says Roquette is not honoring the compact signed by the corn milling plant's own CEO.

The compact lays out principals supporting human and labor rights, the environment and fights corruption.

Roquette signed the compact in 2009.

Roquette issued a press release to the media on Friday stating "This is a baseless accusation." Click here  to read the entire press release.

240 workers in Keokuk have been locked out for a little over two months.
