QUINCY, ILL. -- For 30 years it has simply been Scotties Skateland.

But five years and 15,000 square feet later, it is now Scotties Fun Spot.

A ribbon cutting was held Friday, December 17th for the Fun Spots grand opening.

People were piling in to get a glimpse of all the new attractions it has to offer.

General Manager Jeff Scott says it took five years of planning to get to this point.

"Right now the popular attractions of course are the new laser tag arena, it's 4,000 square feet, the 2 1/2 story play unit, it's called 'Balloscity' and the bumper cars are a favorite too," said Scott.

Jeff Scott says people have been calling Scotties Fun Spot 'Vegas for Kids.'

He says people visiting from Springfield have already said they want to plan another trip back.
