The Lee County Board of Supervisors has weighed in on the Roquette lockout.

According to the Daily Gate City, board members passed a resolution encouraging Roquette America and Local 48G to negotiate a resolution that would be a "mutually beneficial" settlement for both.

They say they're not taking sides, but wants negotiations to continue.

Paperwork filed notes the lockout has caused hardship for the county, Tri-State Area and even the entire state.

The lockout began at the end of September when union members voted down what the company called its best and final contract offer.
