LEE COUNTY, IOWA -- There's a phone scam going around Lee County.

Area residents should know that calls they might get from the Iowa Department of Revenue may not be legitimate.

The call's come from a number beginning with area code 515 or 866. A message may be left asking you to call back for more information, even on a Saturday.

The Iowa Department of Revenue does not have business hours on the weekend. These calls are scams.
