QUINCY, ILL. -- The 3rd annual Souper Bowl of Caring is under way in Pike, Adams and Brown counties.

It's a canned food drive sponsored by the Two Rivers Regional Council, Quanada, and Quincy Catholic Charities.

It kicked off last week and continues through Super Bowl Sunday.

Churches, schools, service clubs and businesses are hoping to collect 25,000 food items this year.

All three organizations operate four food pantries and serve more then 12,000 families.

Krieger's at the Quincy Mall is serving as the primary collections site, so food items or cash donations can be dropped off there.
