QUINCY, ILL. -- If you went to County Market on 24th street in Quincy Saturday you might have noticed a big red can.

Quincy University's Students in Free Enterprise organization is collecting non-perishable food items for local food pantries.

SIFE has collected more than 4,000 pounds so far.

They hope to collect 5,000 more.

The big cans will be set up at the County Market on North 24th Street from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 11.

At the County Market on 48th and Broadway, cans will be set up Friday, March 11 from 10:00 a.m. to noon and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
