QUINCY, ILL. -- UPDATED: March 14 at 10:16 p.m.

An issue that brought out dozens of people to last week's Plan Commission meeting was tabled for 30 days at Monday night's Quincy City Council meeting.

Adam Booth seeks approval for two contested issues - a zoning change for a 40-acre property near Spring Lake Estates and a 47-lot subdivision to be known as Ridgeview Subdivision.

Residents spoke out against the planned development during last week's Quincy Plan Commission meeting, citing traffic concerns.

The Planning and Development department had recommended approval if a secondary access road was included.

When it was concluded that road would not be built at this time, the Commission voted 7-2 to deny both requests.

The Quincy City Council will discuss a subdivision that could go up in the city's first ward.

Adam Booth is asking for zoning changes and a subdivision approval for a 40-acre property near Spring Lake Estates.

Several people are scheduled to address the council Monday night.

Last week, the Quincy Plan Commission denied Booth's request.

Community members were concerned there is only one access road to the proposed subdivision.

We'll show you what happens Monday night on KHQA's Late News.
