Quincy School Board President "Bud" Niekamp has a hard decision to make in the next month.

He's currently serving a two-year term as president for the board. Tuesday, voters elected him into a different seat, in which he'd serve a four-year term. But he can't serve on both.

He's currently involved in a lawsuit connected to the seat he currently holds; It's a lawsuit that has the potential to disappear if he chooses to step down.

We spoke with Niekamp's lawyer Wednesday. He says he'll meet with Niekamp in the next few days to discuss his options.
