QUINCY, ILL. -- Once again the Bridge the Gap to Health Race was met with cold, windy, and rainy conditions.

That still didn't stop the thousands of people from conquering the two bridges in the 11th annual event.

Runners and walkers of all ages competed in a 5K, 10K, or half marathon.

The money raised goes to help the MedAssist program.

One family we caught up with had winners in each of their divisions.

Payson's Barry Eidson and his two daughters Kira and Cassie all ran the 5K race.

Barry finished 1st in the men 50-54 group.

Kera finished in 2nd in girls 11-14.

And Cassie was third in the girls 10 and under division.

Olympic gold medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee was there to hand out medals at the end.
