HANNIBAL, MO. -- We all hope to live long and happy lives.

Monday, one Hannibal woman celebrated both of those accomplishments on her 108th birthday.

These days, Mary Carter lives at the Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal, but she's not afraid to tell her age. In fact, she believes she's older. When she was born, her family says they didn't keep birth records and through some research believe she's 110.

Mary says she loves to whistle and act "silly" with her friends.

Monday evening, staff and friends will throw her a birthday party, marking more than a century of a life well spent.

You can watch Mary's extended interview above.  *CAUTION: Mary uses a few choice (cuss) words throughout this interview.*
