Phillip Diaz sentenced

ADAMS COUNTY, IL. -- Phillip Diaz will spend the next 45 years in prison for fist degree murder.

Diaz pleaded guilty last month in the murder of Ian Barksdale last year.

Barksdale was gunned down in a Hardees Parking lot after an earlier scuffle with Diaz.

Diaz was in town for his brother's college graduation, and Barksdale was a security officer at the Casino Starlight nightclub, where the earlier scuffle had happened.
