ADAMS COUNTY, ILL. -- The Adams County animal warden needs your help to find the owner of a German short-haired Pointer found at 80th and Ellington Road on Sunday, Sept. 18.

The dog, named Ginger, was found attached to a chain and a collar that was so embedded into the dog's neck that it had to be cut out.

The photos show the wounds left behind from the tight collar.

Anyone with information leading to the owner is asked to contact Officer Jenny Benjamin at 217-277-2145.

All calls will be confidential.

People are outraged ... this is the second dog in recent weeks to be found in horrible condition. Join the conversation on our Facebook page by  clicking here.
