Staff Sgt. Sean Nicholas Howardson died earlier this month at the Joint Base Lewis - McChord in Washington.
DALLAS CITY, ILL. -- The Tri-states is mourning the loss of one of its service men this morning.
24 year-old Staff Sgt. Sean Nicholas Howardson died earlier this month at the Joint Base Lewis - McChord in Washington.
Howardson went to Fort Madison High School and excelled as an athlete, before enlisting in the Army in 2006.
He served one tour in Afghanistan in July of 2010.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
A memorial has been established in his memory with the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
