QUINCY, ILL. -- Quincy University has a bat problem, and it could cost big bucks to fix it.

The bats have taken up residence in the attic of Francis Hall on the college's campus.

Vice president for business and finance Tim Weis told The Quincy Herald Whig that getting rid of the bats could cost "six figures or more." Weis says the college is in the process of getting bids to deal with the issue.

Weis says Francis Hall was completed in 1898 and bats have been coming into the building for years.

He's not sure how many bats are currently hanging around.
