QUINCY, ILL. -- Time to get excited!
This Friday, the drawing for a 2011 Kia Soul will happen as part of KHQA's Just Let It Ring Campaign.
Monday night, the City of Quincy took notice at its city council meeting.
Mayor John Spring said, "Thereby, I proclaim Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, as Just Let it Ring Day in the City of Quincy and urge all of our residents to join me in recognizing this important campaign on this 7th day of November, 2011."
Fifty-three hundred have logged onto our web site to make the pledge to not text and drive.
The official drawing will take place on 11-11-11 in honor of Just Let It Ring Day in Quincy.
In other council action, Mayor John Spring recognized Quincy's Trees for Tomorrow organization for receiving the 2011 Illinois Governor's Cup Award.
