QUINCY, ILL. -- An arbitrator has ruled Quincy firefighters will get raises in each of the next three years.
Following an hour-long executive session of the Quincy City Council, Quincy Fire Chief Joe Henning presented the details of the results of binding arbitration.
According to the agreement, union firefighters will receive a 2 percent raise or higher each year for three years.
The raises will also be retroactive to the beginning of the fiscal year, which started May 1.
The council still has to vote on the deal.
