The U.S. Army has set a trial date in the case against Ursa native, Brent Burke. The Fort Campbell soldier is scheduled to go on trial once again on February 6, 2012.

Burke faced an Article 32 hearing and will stand a general court-martial, which consists of a judge, trial counsel, defense counsel and at least five court members.

He is accused of shooting his estranged wife, Tracy Burke, and her former mother-in-law, Karen Comer, in 2007. Burke has been dismissed of charges during four mistrials in the Hardin Circuit Court. In June, the U.S. Army began its own investigation. It has charged Burke with murder and burglary.

If found guilty of one or both of these charges, Burke could face life in prison or the death penalty.
