BOWLING GREEN, MO. -- Work is under way on Bowling Green's newest restaurant.
A contractor is building the road for the Saints Avenue Café just west of McDonald's near the Highway 61 and Business 61 intersection.
Partners in the project are Steve Shaw and Randy Ferris.
The two men own the Saints Avenue Café in Canton and Golden Corral in Hannibal, and have been eyeing Bowling Green for several years.
The new restaurant should start serving customers next spring, and will employ 35 people.
Ferris said he and Shaw have plans for at least two more Saints cafes.
