QUINCY, ILL. -- Are you one of the 50 million Americans suffering from Arthritis or joint related problems?

Saturday, hundreds of local runners and walkers braved the morning's holiday chill in support of the Arthritis Foundation.

The 23rd annual Jingle Bell Run/Walk took place at the Quincy Mall. Many participants dressed up in holiday costumes as part of a contest.

Despite the clouds and rain, more than 200 people registered to support the Arthritis Foundation.

"We have support groups around the area. They have moved they have moved the office to Peoria so we don't have quite as many things going on as we used to, but we tried to keep this one going. It's a good fundraiser for the area and it's a fun event. It's very festive," said Pat Humphrey, the walk/run chairman.

Last year, the Jingle Bell Run raised close to 20 thousand dollars.
