The city of Quincy will not get 5 new traffic signal controller units.
QUINCY, ILL. --
The Quincy Journal reports that Monday night the city council denied the request to spend 126 thousand dollars on the units.
Alderman Paul Havermale stated that the one bid the city received was too high.
The council also heard the first reading of the city's tax levy.
It will go for up for a final vote in two weeks.
