The Adams County Board approved a .9020 tax rate that should produce a levy of $9,072,953.

The rate is a decline from last year’s .9478 rate, which generated $9.3 million in property tax revenue.

The County ended up with a higher year-end fund balance than it had anticipated: $1.8 million as opposed to the estimates of $1.2 to $1.3 million.

The Committee recommended lower levies to the Ambulance Service, Health Department and Highway Department.

Adams County Board Chairman Mike McLaughlin said he had concerns that those funds may have to be supplemented by the County's general fund during this fiscal year.
