Longtime public servant set to retire from post

LEE COUNTY, IOWA -- A long-time fixture in Lee County won't seek re-election.

According to the Daily Gate City, Lee County Auditor Anne Pedersen says she won't run for a seventh term as auditor.

She plans to retire when her term ends in December 2012.

Pedersen has served the county for more than 20 years.
