QUINCY, ILL. -- New Year's Eve isn't a celebration just for adults.

Scotties Fun Spot in Quincy is making it all about the kids.

Saturday, the fun spot threw it's annual New Year's Eve roller skating bash.

The party included a countdown at 3 p.m., a balloon drop, and of course open roller skating.

This is the third year that Scotties Fun Spot has thrown the afternoon skating party for kids, but it's thrown their New Year's Eve All Night Skate for seventy years.

"The New Year's Eve all night skate is I would say teenagers ten years old and we limit it to seventeen and younger," said Jeff Scott., Scotties Fun Spot General Manager. "Parents are welcomed to come and play though. They can learn how to celebrate the new year in a safe and fun way," he said.

The all night skate started at seven p.m. Saturday and lasted until seven in the morning New Year's day.
