HANNIBAL, MO. -- The Hannibal park system is about to get a big boost.
The Hannibal Courier Post reports the Parks and Rec. Department will get quite a bit of acreage because of the flood buyout program.
It's not know just yet how much land the department will soon oversee, or exactly what will be done with it.
The department will also be figuring out if it has enough personnel to handle the additional mowing and maintenance.
