QUINCY, ILL. --

UPDATED: January 6 at 12:07 p.m.

A Quincy man found dead on the street Thursday morning, died of natural causes.

Adams County Coroner Jim Keller made the ruling Friday after an autopsy.

59-year-old James Edward Spilker was found in front of a vacant storage building near 6th and Kentucky shortly after 6:30 in the morning.

There were no witnesses as to what happened and police initially treated the death as suspicious.
