CURRYVILLE, MO. -- UPDATED: January 20 at 5:05 a.m.

The Curryville man accused of shooting at teenagers last weekend wants a lower bond.

Thirty-two-year-old Richard R. Jenkins is charged with discharging a firearm at three juveniles who refused to leave his front yard on Saturday night.

There were no injuries.

Police say Jenkins initially denied knowing about gunshots, but later claimed he used the handgun because he feared for his safety.

A hearing to reduce his $50 thousand bond is set for Wednesday.
