A 19-year-old man who made an unsuccessful attempt to jump a snow bank with his bike had to be hauled away in an ambulance Thursday afternoon.
The Quincy Police Department first got a report of a hit-and-run crash just before 2:30 p.m. near McDonald's at 3201 Broadway.
But that report was unfounded.
Jason Keller and his friend saw the accident.
Keller said, "He was gonna try to jump it, and he got scared and hit the brakes and face planted."
Keller told KHQA the man had injuries to his face, but was talking with his friends and emergency personnel right after the accident.

A 19-year-old man who made an unsuccessful attempt to jump a snow bank with his bike had to be hauled away in an ambulance on Thursday.
The Quincy Police Department initially received a report of a hit-and-run crash about 2:25 p.m. Thursday near the McDonald's at 3201 Broadway.
A witness said that the man was trying to jump a mound of snow on the Quincy Mall parking lot, when his face smacked into the packed, icy snow.
Original reports that the incident involved a car and a pedestrian were unfounded.
