QUINCY, ILL -- The Knapheide Manufacturing company in Quincy says they plan to add between 75 to 100 jobs during the first quarter of 2012.

A majority of the jobs will be in the welding department, while additional jobs will be in the areas of machine operators and fort lift drivers.

The company says many of its fleet account customers held off making capital purchases over the last couple of years.

Now, the vendors want to replace trucks that are beginning to show wear and tear.

With the current hiring, the company says it'll have more than 600 employees just on the shop floor, which is comparable to what the company had in 2005 and 2006.
