A man shot by sheriff's deputies after leading them on a high-speed chase is out of the hospital and in jail.
The Marion County Prosecutor's Office charged Ted Rupp, 42, of Hannibal with assault or attempted assault on law enforcement and unlawful use of a weapon.

The man who led police on a chase through Ralls and Marion County before pulling a gun on police is on his way to recovery.
According to the Hannibal Courier Post, the 42-year-old suspect's condition has been upgraded to stable condition in a St. Louis Hospital.
You'll recall two Marion County sheriff's deputies shot him here along an outer road near Highway 36 after he allegedly pointed a shotgun at them.
The Missouri Highway patrol is investigating the incident.
Deputies are on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
Sheriff Jimmy Shinn will not release the identity of the man until charges are filed.

The man shot by deputies after a high-speed chase Sunday is also a person of interest in an attempted burglary at the same motel where the chase began, a Ralls County sheriff's deputy said.
The chase through Ralls and Marion counties in Missouri Sunday ended with deputies shooting a man who remains in critical condition.
Ralls County Sheriff Paul Forney previous said that his office was already investigating an attempted burglary involving a cash register in an unlocked room at the rural Monroe City motel north of the Clarence Cannon Dam on Route J.
That investigation began several days before Sunday's incident. Sheriff's Deputy John Hemeyer confirmed Monday that the man shot by deputies Sunday was a person of interest in that original attempted burglary.
Investigators will not release the suspect's name until formal charges are filed against him. Marion County Sheriff Jimmy Shinn says the 42-year-old suspect was taken by helicopter to a St. Louis-area hospital.
The owner of the motel had called authorities Sunday morning about an unknown person believed to be in the motel without permission, Forney said. A deputy arrived on scene and walked up to the second story where the suspect was last seen. The deputy then spotted the man jumping over the second story railing and fled the scene.
Marion County deputies along with the Hannibal Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol joined the pursuit just before 7 a.m. when the suspect entered Marion County in Hannibal.
The suspect blew his right front tire upon hitting a spike strip laid out for him near Hannibal High School. The man managed to drive westbound on Highway 36 and onto an access road to the location near Fiddlesticks where he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into an embankment, according to the Sheriff's Office. That's when officers told the suspect to get out of the car and on the ground.
The suspect refused to show his hands to the officers on scene. He then returned to the vehicle and pulled a rifle on the deputies, Shinn said. The deputies immediately shot the suspect.
The Sheriff's Office has not released the names of the two deputies who fired on the man.
Shinn says the two Marion County deputies were not harmed. Both deputies were placed on paid administrative leave while an investigation continues.
Other officers were on the scene when the shooting took place. The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control is investigating the incident. Shinn says the suspect will be charged with fleeing to avoid an officer, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.
