A Quincy man arrested on charges of criminal sexual assault and abuse to a minor waived his right to a jury trial Monday, court officials said.

Thomas Brink, 51, was charged Dec. 28 with one count of criminal sexual assault and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He is free on bond.

Brink waived his right for a jury trial and Adams County Circuit Judge Mark Drummond scheduled a plea date for Thursday, April 12. Brink can either enter a plea or request a bench trial with the judge and no jury.

Brink has been ordered to stay away from the alleged victim since his arrest. He is also not allowed to have contact with children under the age of 17.
