Quincy man dies after car-pedestrian accident

QUINCY, ILL. -- A Quincy man has died after getting hit by an SUV at Quincy's 52nd Street and Broadway Wednesday night.

Quincy police say 29-year-old Paul Cowgill was walking south across Broadway when he was hit by an SUV driven by 27-year-old April Peters.

Cowgill was taken to Blessing Hospital where he died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday night in the emergency room.

Police are still looking into the accident.
