The trial date of a former Macomb High School basketball coach has been delayed.

Dan Watson was a teacher and boys basketball coach at Macomb High School at the time of his August arrest.

The prosecutor recently amended the charges against Watson, saying additional evidence was found in communications between Watson and the victim.

Watson now faces a count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and two counts of official misconduct in connection with an alleged relationship with a 17-year-old female student.

Watson was scheduled for trial April 30.  A McDonough County judge moved the pretrial hearing date to May 15.  A new trial date was not set.
