Meth arrests at Quincy's Diamond Motel

QUINCY, ILL. -- Three people are in custody and another three were cited and released after a search warrant was executed at the Diamond Motel at 4813 N. 12th in Quincy, the West Central Illinois Task Force said.

Agents conducted a search warrant of owner Donald A. Greving's residence and office and conducted consent searches of several rooms and vehicles located at the motel.  

Donald Greving, 46, Bobby Miller, 43, and Kellie J. Fasnacht, 45, all of Quincy were arrested at about 6:20 a.m. Monday and Alicia R. Smith, 39, Michael W. Abbey, 22, and Dawn E. Johnson, 51, were issued citations and released.

At the residence and office, agents located methamphetamine, controlled substances (pills) and drug paraphernalia.  Outside the residence in a burn bin, agents located numerous items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. Items used in prior methamphetamine labs and methamphetamine lab waste was located throughout the property.

During a consent search of one room, agents located approximately 50 grams of liquid methamphetamine, syringes used to inject methamphetamine and numerous items to include chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.  Agents also located lab waste from numerous methamphetamine cooks inside the room.

In other motel rooms, agents located cannabis, drug paraphernalia, chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, actual methamphetamine and items used to smoke methamphetamine.

The charges include possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, unlawful disposal of methamphetamine manufacturing waste, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis,  aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing, and possession of methamphetamine precursors.

Greving, Miller and Fasnacht remain in the Adams County Jail pending a court appearance.
