QUINCY, ILL. -- A bid has been approved to rebuild the entrance to Quincy Senior High School off Maine Street.

The board approved the bid for just under 155 thousand dollars to Rees Construction to reconfigure the parking lot at the school.

Last month, the board did not accept any bids that came in, but the board never elaborated as to why all the bids were rejected.

The construction will coincide with some work along Maine Street that the city is doing for the Safe Routes to School program.
