NEW LONDON, MO. -- Two people are recovering Monday morning after a car-motorcycle collision Sunday near New London.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 61 and Fifth Street in New London.

Troopers say 31-year-old Joseph Sodari of Palmyra was driving his motorcycle north on Highway 61 when a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Doris Mims of Hannibal pulled out in front of him.

Sodari was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

A 78-year-old passenger in Mims' car was also transported to the hospital.
