QUINCY, ILL. -- UPDATED: June 13 at 7 a.m.

Adams County voters will have the chance to speak out on concealed carry.

According to our news gathering partners at WTAD, the Adams County Board approved a resolution to put a concealed carry resolution on the November ballot.

No matter which way voters go, the vote won't change any laws, it just merely shows lawmakers voter support for concealed weapons.

A similar referendum passed in Pike County in March.

Illinois is the only state that does not have any kind of conceal carry law on the books.

The Adams County Board is considering a resolution to put the issue of concealed carry on the November ballot.

If approved, the measure would be a non-binding resolution, meaning it allows voters to show their support for a concealed weapons law in Illinois, but would not make it legal to carry.

The resolution is much like the one that was passed in Pike County in March. Click here to read more.
