QUINCY, ILL. -- A pregnant woman and two others were hospitalized Friday afternoon in a crash at 3150 Gardner Expressway near Radio Road in Quincy.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department says that James Orr and his pregnant passenger Leslie Doil were traveling north on Gardner Expressway when Orr looked down for a moment and did not see the vehicles in front of him had stopped.

Orr's vehicle struck Shelia and Robert Bell's suburban in the rear. That caused Bell's vehicle to hit an Ameren truck and trailer in front of them.

Doil and the Bell's were taken to Blessing Hospital. The driver of the Ameren truck was not injured.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Orr was ticketed for failure to reduce speed.
