Payson couple loses home in Saturday fire

PAYSON, ILL. -- A Payson family lost everything in a mobile home fire Saturday afternoon.

The Tri-Township Fire Department responded to the call just after 4 p.m. However, upon arrival, a firefighter said the home belonging to the Hinshaw family, at 6831 Benz Road, had "completely burned to the ground."

The Adams County American Red Cross assisted the family and firefighters, who remained on scene until 7 p.m. Saturday.

The Hinshaw's need just about anything you can think of, including clothes. You're asked to call the local Red Cross about specific donations at 217-222-2477.

Fire crews were not able to determine what caused Saturday's fire.
