Semi accident on U.S. 61

A semi driver traveling through the area had an unpleasant night Monday.
LEWIS COUNTY, MO. --
Details are sketchy, but what we can tell you is that the truck was traveling southbound on US 61 when it ran off the road at the 61 US 24 split.

The truck ran down an embankment and came to rest in a deep ravine.

It also looks as though the cab of the truck separated from the trailer as it slid into the ravine.
