QUINCY, ILL. -- The Mill Creek Water District in Quincy is asking customers to conserve water.

Due to the extended period of drought and extremely high temperatures, they are asking customers to comply with a voluntary water conservation until further notice.

It is the hope of the district that by implementing a voluntary conservation now, a mandatory water rationing order may be avoided if the drought and extreme heat would continue through the remainder of the summer and fall.

There is no information from the water district on the web, however, if you have questions you can reach them at 217-224-9343.
