Two men wanted in a break-in and stabbing at the Bel-Aire Motel have been arrested.

Paxton Barnett, 19, and Leonard Sims, 30, were arrested without incident in Kirksville, Mo. on outstanding warrants charging them with home invasion and aggravated battery.

John Mims turned himself in to the Quincy police Tuesday on the home invasion and aggravated battery warrant.

The incident happened at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday night in the 2300 block of 12th Street. Three men kicked in the door of a room at the motel and repeatedly struck 21-year-old Jason Peyton with baseball bats.

Peyton was stabbed several times. He was treated and released at Blessing Hospital.

The Quincy Police Department gave only a description of three black males in their 20s. The incident remains under investigation.
