Police in Clark County, Mo. are asking the public to be on the lookout for a man in a car taking pictures of children.

The request came after two incidents Saturday.

A witnessed called Kahoka police about 11:05 a.m. Saturday to report that a man in a black Toyota Camry asked two children if they needed a ride, Clark County Sheriff Paul Gaudette said. The initial call said it was near Black Hawk Middle School.

Several hours later, investigators learned that a man in a car matching the same description was seen taking pictures of children on the town Square.

None of the witnesses were able to give police any information about the license plate, Gaudette said.

The sheriff said that chatter on social media sites like Facebook relayed a great deal of information about the incidents.

Anyone with information about the incidents should contact the Clark County Sheriff's Office at 660-727-2915.
