HANNIBAL, MO. -- Police in Hannibal arrested two on charges that they assaulted an officer.

Quentin Dorsey, 21, is charged with assault of a law enforcement officer and a warrant for possession of a controlled substance. He remains in the Marion County Jail.

Deann'dra Dorsey, 25, is charged with assault on a law enforcement officer. She was released on a summons to appear in court.

A police officer saw Quentin Dorsey walking in the 200 block of South Griffith and knew that he had an active warrant, a Hannibal Police Department press release says.

Dorsey fled on foot to a nearby residence. The officer caught him in the doorway of the home and grabbed his arm. When the officer attempted to place him in handcuffs, Quentin Dorsey continued to fight, the release said.

Police said that Deann'dra Dorsey came to the house during the incident and became irate with the officers. She began hitting and pushing an officer, the release says.
