An Iowa teenager was seriously hurt after a car crash in Scotland county.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Kaci Westhoff of Cantril, Iowa was driving on Route E near Wyaconda when she went off the road, overturned and struck a culvert.

She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the jeep she was driving.

Westhoff was transported by helicopter to Blessing Hospital for her injuries.
