Jail escapees scheduled for court hearing

BOWLING GREEN, MO. -- Four men charged in a breakout from the Pike County Jail on September Eighth will be in court Wednesday.

Louisiana residents Emmanuel Chatman and brothers Jacob and Jason Darnell are accused of felony escape, damage to jail property and theft. Another suspect, Joseph Verive of Clarksville, is charged with escape and damage to jail property.

They’re accused of breaking through a shower room and into a service area before leaving the jail.

A fourth suspect, William John Thomas Wilkerson Junior of Florissant, faces escape and damage charges. Tordale Chatman, a cousin of one of the suspects, is accused of hindering prosecution for allegedly driving three of the escaped prisoners from Bowling Green to Louisiana.

Both Wilkerson and Tordale Chatman as scheduled for preliminary hearings October 24th.
