JACKSONVILLE, ILL. -- An Illinois lawmaker is calling for an investigation of the agency in charge of moving residents from the Jacksonville Developmental Center.

The facility is slated for closure at the end of this month as part of a Governor Pat Quinn's plan to cut the state budget.

But Republican State Representative John Cavaletto from Salem, Illinois says Community Resource Associates, the agency in charge of the transition, is hurting patients in their rush to close the facility.

Some accusations include ignoring advice and requests of nurses and guardians, as well as moving residents before special reviews were completed.

The agency was hired on by the Department of Human Services for $1.3 million to handle the transition.
