Reward offered in Salvage Lumber homicide

Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information regarding Sunday's fire at 219 Oak Street in Quincy.

Nancy Streitmatter's body was found Monday in the building debris the day after the fire gutted the building. Crime Stopper's also said Streitmatter went under the aliases Fisher and Lovell.

Law enforcement is looking for anyone with information about her whereabouts between the hours of 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. Oct. 7.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at 217-228-4474.

The Adams County Coroner ruled Streitmatter's death a homicide after an autopsy performed Monday.

Quincy police have not released any additional information about the events surrounding her death.

Salvage Lumber, located at 219 Oak St., caught fire Sunday just before 8:30 p.m. Crews were called to the scene of heavy smoke, which escalated to a five-alarm fire. Click here for our original story.
