Suspect held without bond in Des Moines County Correctional Center

BURLINGTON, IOWA -- A Burlington man is in critical condition after a weekend assault.

The Burlington Police report that on Saturday they responded to a call in the 1500 block of Mt. Pleasant Street where they found an unresponsive 40-year-old Bryan Cannon suffering from head and neck injuries in the alleyway.

During an investigation of the incident, 37-year-old Damien Dukes of Burlington was arrested and charged with Felony Assault.

He's being held in the Des Moines Correctional Center with no bond.
