QUINCY, ILL. -- The Quincy Park District closed on the property that will become the site of the new district office ... the Bonansanga Drive property formerly known as the Bay Watch Cafe or the River's Edge Complex.

The park approved its purchase in April.

The commissioners agreed to let bids for $900,000 in general obligation bonds to be paid off over the next four years.

The district will renovate the building to use as its office and programming space.

The Emerson Community Center will be sold once the office is moved. The city will retain the park near the center as a park and playground.
