Crews report gas shortages all over the state

ILLINOIS -- Ameren crews from Illinois and Missouri are doing their part to help with the long road to recovery in New Jersey.

More than 600 Ameren workers are working to restore power to New Jersey and the rest of the east coast.

A press release from Ameren Illinois states that crews are encountering problems like flooded substations, downed trees and power lines.

Gasoline is also in very short supply in the New Jersey area because many of the service stations are still without power.

Ameren workers report that it is the worst destruction they have ever seen.

No part of the state escaped the damage from the storm.
